Prior to Opening Day, the Yankees made a few moves on the 25-man roster. The moves shouldn’t come as a surprise, as it was mostly for paperwork–the Yankees had to submit their roster prior to Sunday’s game against the Rays.
Anyway, here were the following moves prior to Sunday’s contest:
— The Yankees officially selected INF Pete Kozma‘s Major League contract and added him to the 25-man roster.
— The Yankees placed INF/OF Tyler Austin on the 60-day disabled list with a fractured ankle.
— The Yankees placed INF Didi Gregorius on the 10-day DL with a right shoulder strain. The move is retroactive to March 30th.
